Poison

“There is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”

I have a new friend! S. seems like a really nice person. We've talked a bit back and forth for the past week or so, and I seem to be connecting with her. It is a strange feeling for me, as I do not usually get along with girls... at all.... I think we're going to have a girly-day soon. Which, again, is a weird thing for me. I don't know how to be "girly"... I don't know what it is to enjoy shoe shopping, or gossiping, or just be... well... "girly". I don't imagine that's exactly what S. and I will be doing when we have our girly-day, but I find it interesting to be connecting with a girl like I feel I am with this girl. I even helped convince her to start her own blog, which so far, has been really enjoyable to read and understand a little more about her. Unfortunately, she works a lot of evenings, so I don't think we're going to be going to any summerfest concerts this week. :\

Speaking of Summerfest
Summerfest is fully underway! Keeper and I went to Owl City last Thursday night, and it was AWESOME. I had a blast! And Keeper even enjoyed! He says he definitely liked a lot of it live a lot more than just on the cd. Which, I can't blame him. To someone who doesn't really listen to Owl City very closely (and continuously) as I do, a lot of his music can sound extremely similar, if not all the same. I really enjoyed being able to spend the time with Keeper and sharing some of my favorite music with him, live in concert. It was a great night, even though it hadn't started out great earlier that day.

I didn't work on Friday, so I had a four day weekend, which went pretty well. Keeper, E. and I had fun just being with each other on Friday night after Keeper got off work, going to Kopp's for dinner and some ice cream, and then coming home. E. wanted to read, so I suggested a book that my Esoteric Hellion had suggested to me, Paranoia by Joseph Finder. For the rest of the evening, E. and I got to spend some time together, just reading. Saturday was just as relaxing, for all of us. We spent the day watching movies and walking to Lee's Pizza for food, before coming home and relaxing some more. Sunday was E. and I's day. We spent the day making candle-cover-thingers out of glass bottles. E. showed me how to cut/break glass bottles with string. It was WAY cool. We had four cream soda bottles to start off with, but when we were done with those four, we wanted to do more! We went downstairs into the recycling dumpsters, and picked out some really cool empty liquor and wine bottles. We spent the rest of the day making the candle-cover-thingers, and we made a DELICIOUS coconut curry chicken in the slow cooker for dinner. It was SO yummy! Yesterday, we started off the day by cleaning a bit. E. and Keeper cleaned the bathroom and vaccuming the foyer, as well as fixing the krismas lights that hang from the ceiling in the foyer. I went to town on the Kitchen, and won us some more counter space! The kitchen practically looks like we just moved into the apartment, it's so clean! I'm quite proud of myself for accomplishing that.. We went to Kopp's again for lunch, and then I continued reading City of Bones for three hours while Keeper did some DJ-ing. I took a minute last night, and officially took out my nose ring, too. It feels weird now... Anyway. Our friend J. came over in the evening, and E. and I showed him what we had spent Sunday doing, and then we all played Cranium! It was really fun. I didn't run out of energy like I normally do, and I actually stayed socially active during the whole visit! It was a really good weekend, I think.

Today is Tuesday, and Keeper, E. and I are going to see Switchfoot tonight at Summerfest! I'm pretty excited! I think (and hope) today will end much better than it started! :)
